Yes. The Starter plan is free forever — no credit card required. It includes 1 child profile, 10 AI advice requests, 2 goals, 2 decisions, 1 analysis, and 1 DGbook volume. Paid plans unlock more children, higher AI quotas, and full DGbook features including AI stories.

ParentEase is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). One account works across both platforms with secure cloud sync. You can switch between devices seamlessly.

No. ParentEase is a parenting coaching and memory app. AI advice is supportive, general, and informational — it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or clinical guidance. If you have concerns about your child's wellbeing, please consult a qualified professional.

Currently, ParentEase accounts are individual. Both parents can install the app on their own devices, but shared family accounts with simultaneous multi-user access are on our roadmap. We'll announce updates on our blog.

ParentEase includes six moods: Happy, Sad, Tired, Angry, Excited, and Anxious. Each check-in lets you add a memory note, attach photos or videos, and optionally get AI coaching advice — or save without AI to conserve your quota.

You create a goal for a child — for example "Read 10 books this term" — with a category (Physical, Cognitive, Emotional, Social), start date, and due date. AI then suggests a set of milestones appropriate to the duration. You can edit or add milestones manually. Mark each milestone complete to track progress toward the goal.

Decisions is a parenting decision journal. When you're weighing a choice — school activity, sleep routine, screen time policy — you log the decision, list your options, set a deadline, and optionally ask AI for a recommendation with a confidence score. You can track what you decided and reflect on it later.

Growth Insights analyses mood entries for a selected child over a week, month, or year. Once a period is complete and has enough data, you can generate an AI summary that highlights patterns, observations, and coaching-style notes. Starter plan includes limited access; paid plans expand it.

Yes. From the Calendar screen, you can push ParentEase events — goals, milestones, decisions, and custom events — to your iOS or Android calendar. This allows you to receive notifications through your existing calendar app.

Open the DGbook tab (second item in the bottom navigation). Select your child, then tap to create a new class DGbook. ParentEase will set up a volume for the current school year. You can add additional year volumes as your child grows — some may require a paid plan.

When you log a mood from Home, you can choose to save it to DGbook. The check-in becomes a chapter entry — with a write-up page, optional AI-generated cover story and captions, and a media album for any attached photos or videos. Entries are organised into weekly and monthly chapters automatically.

Yes. From the DGbook tab or Home, tap Trip / Event to log a family trip, school event, or special day with a title, dates, memory note, and media. AI can turn your notes and photos into a short chapter story — or you can write your own without using AI.

Absolutely. Every mood check-in and event has a "Save without AI" option. Your notes, photos, and memories are saved to the book exactly as you wrote them — no AI quota is used.

Open any event chapter in the book reader, then tap Share in the menu. This opens your phone's native share sheet, letting you send the chapter title, write-up, photos, and videos to any app — Instagram, WhatsApp, Messages, and more. Exact format (carousel, video, text) depends on each app.

Go to the DGbook tab and select Backup & Restore. You can download a .zip export of any volume — which includes a media folder, an HTML viewer, and an EPUB file. To restore, import the .zip on your new device from the same screen.

AI provides coaching-style support across five areas: mood advice (supportive tips after a check-in), goal milestones (suggested steps for a goal), decision recommendations (guidance with a 1–10 confidence score), growth insights (weekly/monthly/yearly mood summaries), and DGbook stories (cover story and captions from your notes and photos).

No — AI is always opt-in. Every mood check-in, event entry, and DGbook moment has a "Save without AI" option. You choose when to use AI and when to keep your own words.

AI advice is tailored using your child's profile — their age, gender, traits (e.g. Curious, Energetic), and any challenges you've noted (e.g. Sleep issues, Social skills). The more complete your child's profile, the more relevant the advice. You can update the profile at any time.

Each time you tap Generate and receive an AI response, one credit is used from your monthly quota. This applies to mood advice, DGbook story generation, and growth analyses. Goal milestones use goal credits; decision recommendations use decision credits.

No. ParentEase AI provides general, supportive coaching — it is not a diagnostic tool and cannot replace professional clinical assessment. If you have concerns about your child's mental or emotional health, please seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Open ParentEase, go to Profile → Subscription, and tap the plan you want to upgrade to. Subscriptions are processed securely through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The upgrade takes effect immediately.

Yes. Cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings (App Store or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access until then.

Your data — child profiles, moods, goals, decisions, and DGbook chapters — is always retained. After cancelling, your account reverts to the Starter plan. Features that exceed Starter limits become read-only until you upgrade again. Nothing is deleted.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. ParentEase itself does not process payments directly. For refund requests, please contact App Store or Google Play support.

Yes. ParentEase uses encrypted storage and secure backend services (Supabase). Your data is never sold to third parties or used for advertising. You can read our full Privacy Policy at parentease.app/privacy.html.

DGbook chapters and media are stored locally on your device as part of the app's library. Account and child profile data syncs through ParentEase's secure cloud. You control backups and exports from the DGbook Backup & Restore screen.

Yes. Go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. You'll see a clear list of what will be permanently removed. Deletion is irreversible — we recommend exporting your DGbook backup first.

No. Your personal data — mood entries, notes, child profiles, and DGbook content — is not used to train AI models. AI processing uses your data only in the moment of generating a response, via our secure AI service provider.

Most features — including viewing existing moods, goals, decisions, and DGbook entries — are available offline. AI features and cloud sync require an internet connection. Data entered offline syncs automatically when you reconnect.

Tap the child selector in the top bar of the Home screen to switch between child profiles. All features — moods, goals, decisions, Growth Insights, and DGbook — update to reflect the selected child.

First, check that notifications are enabled for ParentEase in your device settings (iOS: Settings → ParentEase → Notifications; Android: Settings → Apps → ParentEase → Notifications). Then open ParentEase → Profile → Preferences and confirm push notifications are turned on.
